PRG Consultants Embark on the Ultimate Challenge: The Welsh 3 Peaks to support Walking with The Wounded

September 6, 2023

When it comes to pushing boundaries, our team at PRG never back down from a challenge. On September 22nd, more than 20 of our consultants from PRG are gearing up to conquer the Welsh 3 Peaks in less than 24 hours. After the successful 52-mile, 100k steps in a day challenge back in March, we were inspired to take on another exhilarating adventure. This time, our mission is not only to challenge ourselves but also to support the noble cause once again – Walking with the Wounded.

Why Walking with the Wounded?

Walking with the Wounded is an organisation dedicated to supporting service personnel, veterans, and their families in their journey towards employment and mental health. Their incredible work in helping those who have served our country and their families is nothing short of inspiring. We knew we couldn’t sit idly by when there was an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those who have sacrificed so much for our safety and freedom.

You can donate here on our Just Giving page.

The Challenge Ahead:

The Welsh 3 Peaks Challenge is no walk in the park. It involves conquering three of Wales’s highest peaks – Snowdon, Cadair Idris, and Pen y Fan – all within the span of a single day. It’s a demanding test of our physical endurance, mental strength, and teamwork. Completing this challenge in under 24 hours is no small feat, but our team is determined and motivated to rise to the occasion. Here’s how our route unfolds:

Leg 1: Bristol to Snowdon (LL55 4NY)

Our journey begins at the PRG Office in Bristol, where we’ll bid farewell to familiar surroundings and embark on our quest. The first leg takes us to Snowdon, the highest peak in Wales. We’ll travel through picturesque landscapes, transitioning from the bustling city to the tranquil Welsh countryside.

Leg 2: Snowdon to Cadair Idris (LL40 1TN)

After conquering Snowdon, we’ll push on to our next destination, Cadair Idris. This magnificent mountain offers stunning views and a rigorous ascent, testing our determination and stamina.

Leg 3: Cadair Idris to Pen y Fan (LD3 8NL)

Cadair Idris will be no small feat, but we’ll keep moving forward with the knowledge that the majestic Pen y Fan awaits us. As we approach the final peak of the challenge, our anticipation will grow.

Leg 4: Pen y Fan to Bristol

Upon completing the ascent of Pen y Fan, we’ll turn our sights homeward. The journey back to Bristol begins.

The goal:

Our primary objective is to raise funds for Walking with the Wounded. Each contribution we receive will directly support their vital work in assisting veterans, service personnel, and their families. With your support, we aim to make a significant impact on the lives of those who have dedicated themselves to serving our country.

PRG Lead Delivery Consultant and Army veteran Christopher Adams spoke about the challenge “PRG are thrilled to be supporting the Walking with the Wounded charity again. Any British Military soldier will know the pain of walking up and down Welsh Mountains when it’s cold, wet, and while you are very tired! So, to give our team a very small taste of what a soldier may get up to will be a fantastic experience for them. Just by volunteering, they have decided to push themselves out of their comfort zone. Testing their mental and physical resilience while raising money for such an incredible charity is something that everyone can take a huge amount of pride in. With wheels rolling at 0130 hours, it is certainly going to be a challenge!”

How You Can Support Us:

We invite you to be part of this incredible journey. Your support can change lives. Here’s how you can get involved:

  1. Donate: Every donation, regardless of size, will make a difference in the lives of those we aim to help. Your contribution will directly support Walking with the Wounded. You can Donate here.
  2. Spread the Word: Share our challenge on social media, among your friends and family, and within your professional network. The more people who know about our mission, the greater our reach.

At PRG, we’re ready to take on the ultimate challenge – the Welsh 3 Peaks, with the added twist of starting and ending our journey in Bristol. This adventure is a testament to our commitment to making a meaningful impact on the lives of veterans and service personnel. We thank you for joining us on this journey, and together, we can reach new heights, both literally and figuratively, and create positive change in our community and beyond.

We are Sponsoring The Wildlife Photographer of the Year Exhibition!

December 30, 2022

Precision Resource Group are thrilled to announce that we are once again sponsoring the prestigious Wildlife Photographer of the Year exhibition, held at MShed, Bristol.

Opening between the 19th of November 2022 and the 29th of May 2023, the prestigious event is back with a new set of breath-taking images.

Now in its 58th year, the Wildlife Photographer of the Year competition launched in 1965 with 361 entries, and today it attracts 49,000 entries globally. These images have been selected by an international panel and winning images will be credited on their creativity, technical excellence, and originality.

We are honoured to be involved in such a globally recognised exhibition, and we cannot wait to see the 100 photographs that illustrate the precious beauty of our planet. PRG’s Managing Director, Tom Hibberd, continues:

“Wildlife Photographer of the Year is the most respected exhibition in its field. Having been a sponsor last year, we are thrilled to once again be involved in this celebration of nature.

PRG are constantly looking for ways in which to reduce the impact we have on the environment. The exhibition illustrates the issues the planet faces, which is a huge driving force in our involvement. We cannot wait to see the inspiring sights of this year’s showcase and to support a renowned part of Bristol’s culture.”
