This week, Precision Resource Group presented at SGS College in Filton, Bristol.
PRG’s Lead Business Manager Josh Shaw, Business Manager Inness Law, Delivery Manager Abbey Robinson and Internal Recruitment Manager Tyler Zammit took to the stage to speak with the staff of SGS College about ‘Modern Professional Behaviours & Skills for Young People of the Future’.
At PRG, we place great importance on playing a meaningful role in our community, and we are grateful that we are in a position to help our local students and share our expertise with future talent.
Working within senior level recruitment, the way we prepare our candidates never changes. They all have different qualifications and skillsets, and our expertise allows us to consider candidate suitability and employee satisfaction on a daily basis. Therefore, we had plenty to share with SGS’ teaching staff on the topic.
The session covered:
- How to stand out as a candidate
- Goal setting
- The world of work
And much more.
Inness, one of our presenters, highlighted the importance of the topic:
‘This week, SGS college invited myself and 3 other PRG colleagues to deliver a talk on what we know and understand on ‘Modern Professional Behaviours & Skills for Young People of the Future’.
Having been supporting IT professionals on their job search for past 5+ years, with some of those being graduates and young people, we felt we possess some real insights which the teaching staff were able to pass on. With the job market being as competitive and busy as ever, we hope with our presentation, we were able to help and support the next generation of upcoming young talent as they go into the world of work.
The day itself was very well ran, well organised and despite from early nerves as a speaker, I thoroughly enjoyed the day at SGS College. I just hope my dad jokes were enough to be asked back for another talk in the future!’
It was a brilliant day, and a fantastic opportunity to share our knowledge with those who make an impact on our local students.
Thanks for having us!
